2. Like what you see on our menu but haven't made a reservation in advance? No problem....just let us know in the morning that you would like to dine with us that evening, and at what time you would prefer to dine. If a table is available, you've got it. Just remember to bring your appetite!

For Weathertop guests & their friends, our restaurant is open seasonally for evening dining. We serve an eclectic selection of reasonably-priced entrées, many of which are favorites discovered on our travels. We also focus on game and seafood not typically found at local dining establishments. To complement your dining experience, we are pleased to offer an international selection of fine wine, beer, and saké. Since our restaurant is not open to the public and we limit the number of tables served, you can expect personalized service in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. Once you book a table, it is yours for the evening...

While some of our most popular entrées are on the menu year round, we also offer frequently changing specials which depend upon the season and the availability of choice ingredients. Click here to view a sample menu. Be sure to check our daily menu board, or ask your innkeepers, for the day's selections and specials. Got a personal favorite from a prior visit? Let us know in advance, and we will be happy to prepare it, assuming the fresh ingredients are available! For those with "simpler tastes", many of our meat and fish offerings can be plainly grilled or baked - just ask.

• To ensure personalized service, we typically limit our service to 5 tables per evening. If you plan to dine with us, advance notice is always advisable and required at some times.
• We will gladly cater to most special dietary needs, for breakfast or dinner, with advance notice. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking - the sooner we know, the more accommodating we can be.
• Vegetarian and vegan offerings are not standard items on our daily dinner menu. They are also not areas of expertise for us. We are happy to recommend some local restaurants who specialize in these cuisines.
• Weathertop Mountain Inn is licensed by the State of Vermont for the sale of beer and wine. As such, no personal beverages are allowed in the dining room or other common areas.

After an action-filled day in and around The Mad River Valley, why spend the extra time and energy to get prepared for a dinner elsewhere? Do you really want to get back in your car? Why not dine with us in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere? Take it easy - you're on vacation...

Have a soak in the hot tub, enjoy a glass of wine from our extensive selection while lounging in front of the Great Room fireplace, then join us for a casual, culinary feast. Our menu ranges from hearty to eclectic, and is very reasonably priced. If you crave something from Southeast Asia, we're the only place to be in The Valley with our Asian Dining Adventure. Hand-carved steaks, chops and game are also our specialties! Dine with us once, or every evening. The choice is entirely up to you...

Need some time to unwind? Want to get away from it all, if just for a few days? Let us help, in any season! While you will have to decide how best to relax and have fun, we can take care of everything else.

Start off with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine upon your arrival. After a restful sleep, follow this up with a full breakfast in the morning. Go out and play for the day, then return to a 4-course dinner from our nightly menu with a select bottle of wine. Then enjoy another relaxing evening at Weathertop. To ensure you don't leave hungry, we provide yet another full breakfast on the morning of your departure.

If you have a passion for the diverse cuisines of Asia, or wish to try one you have never experienced before, our Asian Dining Adventure is not to be missed! You pick the country, you pick the primary ingredients for your main course, and we take care of the rest...

For $70 per couple, you get a soup, a salad and a combination of dishes for your main course - selected by us - for your country of choice. Follow this up with a fabulous dessert from our nightly menu. Visit Asia for an evening - no passport required!

You have only four things to do:

• Choose a country (click on a country to see a typical menu): Cambodia & Laos, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam
• Choose two primary ingredients for your main course: Beef, Chicken, Duck, Lamb, Pork, Fish, Shrimp or Tofu (Vegetarian is also possible)
• Advise us of any dislikes or allergies
• Enjoy your trip!

• A two day advance notice is normally required to experience our Asian Dining Adventure. We need additional time for preparation and ingredient procurement, but it's definitely worth it!

On major holidays, many of the restaurants in The Mad River Valley can be quite crowded. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, quite a number are closed. The dining room at Weathertop is always open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day.

As holidays approach, please check our website for any updated offerings or special menus!

Whether you plan to dine with us or plan to dine elsewhere on major holidays, PLEASE make your reservations in advance! We have had guests in the past attempt to dine at a favorite restaurant on a "walk in" basis, only to find it fully booked or closed. They then return to the inn and discover that we cannot accomodate them on a "last minute" basis. Nobody wants to be disappointed, especially on a major holiday, so please plan accordingly!

With 8 guest rooms available, and a maximum dining occupancy of 16 guests, Weathertop is the ideal venue to host small family reunions, travel clubs, corporate outings, or weddings.
